Shay Pool

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Shay Pool (he/him/his) is a freelance artist, designer, director, and educator based in Tulsa, OK. He has been working with TBBBC since launch in 2019, and is thrilled to be a part of the programs they provide. Shay is no stranger to the theatre scene in Tulsa, where he has had the opportunity to work with numerous regional and community theatre companies such as Theatre Tulsa, American Theatre Company, Orbit Arts, and many more. In addition to his regional & community theatre work, he is also the Director of Technical Theatre at Bixby Public School's. Over the years, Shay has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of regionally acclaimed performers, designers, directors, and educators across the globe, most recognizably with his work as the Founding Executive Director at Evergreen Theatre Collective, the world's leading online arts engagement program.

Toni Ross

Co-Founder & Artistic Director

Toni Ross (she/her/hers) is currently the Theatre Director at Bixby Middle School and has been in the Bixby Public School district for 15 years. Toni graduated from Oklahoma State University. She has directed and choreographed productions such as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Footloose, James and the Giant Peach, Singing in the Rain, Junie B. Jones, 1776, The Little Mermaid and many more. Toni has performed in community theatre productions including Theatre Tulsa's The Producers, Miss Saigon, 9 to 5, Will Rogers Follies and Chicago as well as ATC's A Christmas Carol. Toni has served on the Advisory Board of Directors with the Tulsa Ballet and served on the academic task force for scholastic success of their dancers.



Nicole Brown

Director of Vocal Music

Nicole Brown (she/her/hers) has been teaching music in Bixby for the past seven years, after receiving a Bachelor of Vocal Music Education from Oklahoma State University. At OSU, she had the privilege of being a member of Chamber Choir and Concert Choral under several distinguished faculty members. Over the past ten years she has directed award winning choirs and served as the music director for several productions including Alice in Wonderland and The Drowsy Chaperone as well as TBBBC's The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, & Matilda JR.

Aimey Schmidt

Choreographer in Residence

Aimey Schmidt (she/her/hers) is an enthusiastic and hardworking performer and teacher based out of Tulsa, OK. She has been taking dance for 6 years at Dance Dynamics where she currently studies a wide variety of dance styles (such as ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary) as well as teaches classes for multiple levels (including lvl. 1 tap and ballet, creative movement, intermediate and advanced hip hop, and intro to jazz Pom and hip hop). Aimey is also a first place competitive dancer, she has attended multiple conventions with the top teachers in the industry receiving a ballet scholarship this past year. Aimey is competing this year with a production group, a small group, a duet, and a solo. She has been in the performance industry for 9 years where she performed in several shows with TCC, Clark Youth Theatre, Theatre Arts, and American Theatre Company. Aimey is excited to be back for TBBBC 2022 this year and continue watching the talent in each child grow as they gain more confidence and love for what they do.

Carlie Wilson

Artistic Engagement Coordinator

Carlie Wilson (she/her/hers) has been involved in the theatre community across three states for the past several years, and is an avid believer in it's ability to being people together. She has been working with TBBBC for the past two seasons as an Assistant Director & Scenic Designer and is thrilled to be joining the year-round team. Carlie has both on and off-stage experience in numerous shows such as Disney's The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), Olwen Wymark's Find Me (Jean), Writing A Will Can Be Murder (Asst. Director), and TBBBC's Alice in Wonderland (Asst. Director) & Matilda JR. (Scenic Designer).

Natalie Lane

Wardrobe Coordinator

Natalie Lane (she/her/hers) has been a part of the theatre community since age six as a performer, seamstress, stage manager, & costume designer. Natalie has ample experience in a variety of shows such as Olwen Wymark's Find Me (Asst. Stage Manager), Writing a Will Could Be Murder (Rose), Disney's The Little Mermaid (Production Stage Manager), as well as serving as the Wardrobe Coordinator & Designer for all three of TBBBC's seasons. Natalie adores working with the program providing a fun and safe environment for all young performers and making sure they feel and look their best in both onstage and offstage activities.
